We are seeking a skilled welder/pipefitter to join our team at a steel fabrication facility. The candidate will engage in structural steel fitting and flux core welding, while also performing tack welding and pipe fitting duties. Responsibilities Complete fitting duties at a steel fabricator. Perform structural steel fitting. Execute flux core and tack welding. Read a tape measure accurately to the 1/16th of an inch. Handle pipe fitting tasks. Lift materials weighing up to 50lbs. 1-2 years of experience in structural steel fitting and pipefitting. Proficiency in flux core welding and tack welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tape measures. Familiarity with fabrication, fitting, and welding processes. The position operates on a shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 6am-4:30pm, Friday 5am-1pm, with occasional Saturdays from 5am-1pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
